Amie Maxi Dress
After I said Larry David!
Mai Tai, yummy.
Okay, now back to reality. Seattle had some pretty days that inspired my desire for Spring. Then my J.Crew Personal Stylist, kept after me pushing my addiction, even after I said: "I spent too much on vacation! Give me until May to even think about new clothes..." Then she sent me a link with the new May roll out. There I am, the j.crew junkie trying to withdrawal, going to the store, sucked in again...
So, here's the thing. I had big aspirations. I said "I will come in and peek. Just let me get the clearance Valentina pumps and I will be on my merry way. I'm trying to quit this month."
Then, I saw the pencil skirts. Wow. I like. Maybe just a little look, but none for me. Well, I guess there could be worse things I could do.
A J.Crew bag full of lovely goodies later, here are some things I bought or tried:
J.Crew No.2 Raj Paisley Skirt
Next up, I'm the geek in the pink...and green...How about this skirt - the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Garden Floral. I love the fit (I sized down), the color options are incredible (I can wear orange, pink, navy, green, white, you name it). Seriously. This skirt. I didn't need it, but how could I live without it?
J.Crew Featherweight Cardigan in Warm Jade
Beautiful!
I had to buy the featherweight cotton cardigan, in jade. Beautiful color and perfect for summer. It fits true to size. I paired the skirt and cardigan with the Vintage Cotton Tank in the Neon Azalea color that is all over the store. Then I ordered pink shoes that weren't in store but online. Arriving in 3-6 business days. So much for April restraint.
I also got the J.Crew Drea Pumps in Leopard Patent for 30% off of 99.99 in store.
How was your week?

You look cute in that dress, and also in those skirts! Thanks for the reviews!
ReplyDeleteI scored Dreas in neon peach, pretty excited too!!! Looks like you are having fun, live the dress on you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose! Thanks, Slastena! I wanted the neon peach, too, but they only had two other sizes left. Boo!
ReplyDeleteLelaini's is our favorite place whenever we go to Maui. Our Christmas card this past year included a family picture of us sitting about 5 feet from where you had a meal. I wore a J Crew maxi dress, too on that day in November. Maui is our favorite vacation destination. The Aston Ka'Anapali Shores is like a second home. Glad you had a great vacation.
ReplyDeleteI wondered about the Aston Kaanapali Shores. Did you like it? We love Lelaini's.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through the JCA reviews. I just bought the Amie maxi in that same style in my usual size (XS), but I'm wondering if it will fit. Does it run big, small, or TTS? I am only 5'2", and I'm worried it will be too long/baggy. It looks great on you, from what I can see in the pic. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm usually a Medium and it was fine. I'm 5'6 so the length may be a challenge. It's perfect length for me (which wasn't the case with other maxis at J.Crew - they used to be too long.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I guess I'll have to hope for the best. :) Thanks!
DeleteMy recommendation would be to try it out - you can always return or get it hemmed!
DeleteThanks for these great reviews!!! I love everything on you. And, I love the pink and green combination with the Garden Floral skirt, so thanks for the styling idea!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rynette!
DeleteHi Tammy, welcome back! Looks like you and your family had a great vacation, will have to ask you for tips if I ever make it to Hawaii. Thanks for the reviews, love the skirts on you!
ReplyDeleteCloset Crisis - you got it! Thank you!
